My Approach

In 25+ years of practice, I've learned something that's never stopped being true: the technical fix is rarely the hardest part. The difficulty is trust — and it runs in more directions than people usually admit. Your people have to trust the person in front of them — as an advisor, a coach, an educator, not just someone who showed up with a toolkit. Your organization has to trust its own leadership enough to be honest about what it actually needs. Also, your customers and your investors have to trust the direction you're taking. Miss any one of those, and the change isn't sustainable.

So I start with understanding — getting in the room with the people who actually know how the organization runs, from its leaders to the people closest to the work. This is what I'm doing right now with Shinsei.

Why Shinsei

Shinsei — 新生 — means new life. It's the right name for what this practice does: leave organizations more capable than they were, able to carry improvement forward on their own.

Shinsei Systems Group is based in London, Ontario, and works with organizations across Canada. The work is straightforward: map how a system actually operates, apply Lean Six Sigma discipline alongside analytics and simulation where they add value, and build lasting capability at every level — from leadership coaching to education, methodology deployment, and project support, depending on what your organization needs.

新生

Tools that serve people

The methodology behind this work has its own tools for understanding how a process runs. AI is one more tool in that set — used here to help your people grow toward excellence, and to capture what they know so that knowledge stays with your organization instead of leaving with any one person.

Your Journey

Every organization eventually reaches a point where effort alone stops moving the numbers. The reasons are rarely simple — they run through process, culture, and the people doing the work, and solving them takes a wider view than any single fix.

This is where your journey starts: a full look at what's actually driving the problem, a plan built around its real causes, and a team able to carry the gains forward on its own. Change like this begins with a decision from leadership to take that first look. Scope doesn't change the approach — the same discipline works whether the problem is one line item or the whole organization, in any industry.

Every system can begin again.
